Raw Fish

Raw Fish

One day, the japanese teachers took us to the 'Tsukiji' early in the morning, the biggest fish market in Tokyo. It was amazing how feverish the activity was in this place!

There we were able to try ultra fresh 'sashimi'(raw fish with soy sauce and wasabi) and saw how a big tuna fish is cut to pieces by skillful japanese hands.

In the picture, there are four big pieces of raw 'maguro' (tuna fish) and some dry ice to keep it cold.

Woah... this looks completely different to the piece of brown, almost-rotten tuna that Alex and Edu bought and tried to make me eat with wasabi :P

Well... actually if you put enough wasabi, you can eat almost anything, even almost-rotten tuna.

Maybe it's a good idea to sell sandwiches of surströmming and wasabi, it seems to be a good combination XD

Now seriously, the raw fish in Japan is excellent!
